Why Should I Choose Porcelain Tile?

What type of lifestyle do you have?  Do you have pets? Do you have kids? Do you have a lot of parties? Which areas will have the most traffic?  Deciding what floor covering will meet your needs can be challenging.  Tell your sales person what type of traffic this floor will see and they can help determine the correct floor covering to meet your needs.

High traffic areas like kitchens, family rooms, and hallways may require a more durable finish.  Ceramic tiles are very beautiful and usually have a lower price point than other hard tiles. Use ceramic tiles in areas where low traffic and house slippers prevail like bathrooms or bedrooms.  If the area will be exposed to children, pets, boots, sneakers, or high traffic then porcelain or stone may prove to be more durable.

For extremely heavy duty situations consider porcelains, granites, or quarry tiles. Porcelain is fired at high temperature and that gives it a hardness and durability that can rival natural stone. Advances in porcelains manufacturing process can make it an excellent choice for indoors, outdoors, entryways, shopping malls, airports, and patios.
