Contrary to what it may seem, Carolina Tile has officially been in existence since 2003.  Our home was Orangeburg, South Carolina.  Our design showroom showcased Marble, Stone, and Granite from all over the world.  That’s because we traveled the world in search top notch product. Nobody took us seriously in the beginning.  The dinner time conversation in Orangeburg would be, “Hey I heard there is a New tile store in town.  Chuckle, Chuckle, I bet they sell the same products as Lowes.  Many future customers would venture to Palmetto Tile, the Tile Center, and Creative Tile to purchase floor and wall tile (this is not a diss to them, but we where 53.2 miles closer than they were).  It seemed that they would visit us as an afterthought after going to Charleston or Charlotte or even Atlanta looking for flooring, but to their surprise that little shop in Orangeburg had a unique selection that rivaled what the Major shops out of town carried.

I feel that Carolina Tile is an underdog and will become and Underground King.  Two showrooms later we have moved our operations to Columbia, South Carolina.  Carolina Tile has diversified its portfolio slightly and forged new alliances.  We have interior designers, cabinet makers, new fabricators, and a host of new industry allies and friends backing us.  We can provide carpet, wood, tile, stone products, setting materials, vinyl, marble, granite, countertops, ceramic tile, porcelain tile, bamboo flooring, glass block, backsplashes, commercial & residential building products, and have industry specialist on speed dial in case we need more resources.

Our parent company has obtained Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned Small business status and can help you meet the necessary set aside criteria for your projects.  Even if you plan to purchase your field tile from the many wonderful retailers in South Carolina we can help you with accent and trim pieces or use or experience to help make your project worthy of Cribs or Parade of Homes status.  We can assist with flooring installation.  Carolina Tile has in house installers and independents contractors that we work with.
