This is proof that a properly installed marble floor can provide years of service. The Marble floor shown here was installed in the National Statuary between 1864-1867. My tour group must have thought I was strange. Everyone in my group was taking pictures of all the history around us and looking at the walls. I spent my time looking at the floor.
